Through this topic the children learn about the animals that live around the world, how to look after animals and the importance of caring for our local and global environments.

Through this topic the children will have opportunities for outdoor learning and to learn about how to care for the plants and animals in their local environment.  They will also learn how to stay safe in the sun.

This topic teaches children about water, including floating and sinking, freezing and melting, and why it is important for living things to stay hydrated.
